Description
‘Magnifica’ is a trumpet honeysuckle selected for its orange flowers. Flowers are followed by red berries. Attracts birds.
Best flowering is in full sun. Best in humusy, organically rich soils with good drainage. A twining vine that needs a support structure (trellis, fence) upon which to grow or it will lay on the ground. Lonicera blooms on old wood, so prune as desired immediately after flowering.
Note: Unlike its white-flowering cousin, Japanese honeysuckle (L. japonica) this honeysuckle is not invasive.
