Description
An exotic looking late bloomer to add a pop of color to the fall gardens. Small, creamy white, lily-like flowers are speckled heavily with burgundy-purple. Grows in a vase shaped clump.
Prefers moist, organically rich, humusy, part shade but is heavy shade tolerant. Soil must not be allowed to dry out. Spreads by stolons and will colonize in the garden over time in a non-invasive manner. A light winter mulch will help protect roots.
T. ‘Sinonome’ is a hybrid of T. hirta and T. formosana. It is generally not affected by anthracnose as many other Tricyrtis are.
