Description
‘Pink Champagne’ is an evergreen perennial whose delicate flowers have white spurs and raspberry centers – the perfect contrast to other shade plants like Hosta. Green leaves mottled with dark burgundy on wiry stems. A vigorous plant that will repeat bloom if happy. Prefers rich, moist, woodland soils but will adapt to a wide range of conditions, including dry shade (even grows under large, thirsty trees!). May need mulch to help keep the weeds away as it is a slow grower. Dead-leaf in late winter. May be divided in early fall. Height: 1.5-2 ft. Spread: 2-3 ft. Family: Berberidaceae Bloom time: mid to late spring Sun: part shade to full shade Water: medium Deer and rabbit resistant photo credit: Walters Gardens
