Description

‘Candy Mountain’ is the first foxglove ever to have upward-facing flowers instead of the usual downward-facing ones. Rose pink blossoms with throats speckled purple and white. Strong, upright stems emerge from large rosettes of downy, green, oblong leaves. Attracts hummingbirds and bees.

Foxglove prefers moist, well-drained, humusy soil. Keeping this plant watered will result in better flowering and healthier foliage. Removal of flower spikes after bloom will encourage a secondary bloom.

While considered a biennial or short lived perennial, leaving seed heads standing will allow D.purpurea to maintain a presence in your garden.
