Description
‘Raspberry Ruffles’ produces large, fragrant, fully double, raspberry pink blossoms about 1¾” wide. Each serrated petal is framed by a razor thin white edge. A polished, upright habit with blue-green foliage – just the right size to edge the front of the sunny border and use in combination containers! Dianthus grow best in loose, well-drained, neutral to slightly alkaline soils. Best flowering in full sun. Deadhead to promote rebloom. Add a layer of mulch in the fall to protect the evergreen foliage. As soon as the weather begins to warm up in spring, remove the mulch to prevent crown rot. Height: 8-10” Spread: 12-14” Family: Caryophyllaceae Bloom time: early summer to early fall Sun: full sun to part shade Water: medium Deer resistant photo credit: Walters Gardens a Proven Winners plant
