Description
Creeping phlox is a mat-forming perennial with loose mats of semi-evergreen foliage. Flower stalks rise above the foliage showing off erect clusters of fragrant flowers in lavender, blue or white, all with a reddish-purple center. Leaves are round or spoon-shaped. Good shade tolerance. Prefers bright shade and rich, organic soils with consistent moisture. Spreads by stolons (rooting runners) to form large colonies. May self-seed if happy.
