Description
Upright, bushy and clump forming with toothed, lanceolate leaves and bright, 2″ medium-gold flowers with darker centers. Tolerates some drought but thrives in heavy moist soils. Deadhead to promote additional bloom. May self-seed. Plant stems may be cut back by 1/3 to 1/2 in late May to reduce overall plant height. Visited by butterflies and birds – leave those seed heads up for the winter! Special value to native bees.
