Description
A traditional and lovely prairie wildflower. Coarse, hairy plant. Stems may be branched or unbranched. Purple-pink petals surround brilliant orange cones which will feed the goldfinches in winter if not deadheaded. Will rebloom without deadheading. May self-seed. Special value to native bees.
