Description
An annual or biennial that easily remains in the garden by self-seeding. Erect grower. Blue-violet spikes of star-shaped flowers are flat and not bell-shaped as others in this family. Prefers part shade (particularly afternoon shade). Needs regular and even moisture. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage additional bloom.
