Description
Tight clusters of blue-purple flowers are stacked vertically on lightly branched stems. Fragrant leaves. Stems and leaves are hairy. Fibrous roots spread by rhizomes to form dense colonies. Special value to native bees and supports beneficial insects. Genus name comes from the Greek blepharis meaning an eyelash for the bracts being fringed by hairs. Height: 1-2.5 ft.
