‘Fireworks’ is a compact version of the straight species Solidago rugosa (which grows 3-5 ft. tall). Plume-like panicles of tiny, yellow flowers cascading at the ends of stems resembles fireworks. Happy 4th! Deep veins on the narrow, lance-shaped leaves give the foliage a wrinkled and rough appearance.
Special value to native bees and supports beneficial insects.
Tolerates light shade. Spreads by rhizomes and self-seeding.
