Description
In spring, leaves are chartreuse with wide, blue margins. In summer, leaf center brightens to gold and margins deepen to blue-green. When mature, the thick foliage exhibits some puckering. Near-white flowers. Height: 10-12″ Spread: 16-18″ Scape height: 16″ Water: average and consistent Bloom time: early to mid-summer Attracts: hummingbirds and bees Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5. High-filtered or dappled sunlight is necessary for clean, healthy growth. Morning sun is tolerable, but hot afternoon sun is usually deadly. Hostas are very easy to propagate through division (can be done at any time during growing season). https://www.waltersgardens.com/ photo credit: Walters Gardens
