Description
An herbaceous perennial with hairy stems, a woody base and pale pink flowers. Attracts bees, butterflies. Easily grown in average, dry to medium, well-drained soils in full sun. Prefers loose, sandy or rocky soils with excellent drainage. Tolerates drought and poor soils. Dislikes moist to wet soils where it will quickly rot. May not be reliably winter hardy throughout USDA Zone 5 where it would benefit from a protected location. Deer resistant photo credit: Stan Shebs
