Description
This beauty is a hybrid cross between a Japanese painted fern and a lady fern. Massive, arching clump of silvery fronds with green highlights and dark purple stems. ‘Godzilla’ spreads slowly where it is happiest in moist, loamy soils.
Ferns prefer well-drained soil high in organic matter. Mulch with leaves or aged hardwood bark in the spring and fall.
Fern foliage provides food for many butterflies and moths during their caterpillar stage.
